<p>PURPOSE: To prevent damage by slippage of a friction gearing step-up gear by providing a torque converter maximum convertable torque of which is set smaller than the friction gearing step-up gear between the friction gearing step-up gear and a generator and controlling a vane pitch angle in the direction where a slip factor becomes smaller in accordance with the slip factor. CONSTITUTION: A torque converter 7 transmission torque of which is smaller than a friction gearing speed increaser 2 is provided between the friction gearing speed increaser 2 and a generator 3, and rotation number detectors 8, 9 to detect respective numbers of rotation of intermediate shafts 5, 6 are set. A pitch angle is controlled by finding the pitch angle of a vane 1 by a computing element 19 from slip factors of the torque converter 7 and the friction gearing set-up gear 2 found from these numbers of rotation to be detected. Consequently, even when excessive load torque is generated, slippage is generated on the torque converter 7 and no slippage is generated on the friction gearing set-up gear 2, and it is possible to prevent its damage.</p> |
