PURPOSE: To obtain an ethylene copolymer rubber compsn. having a high vulcanization rate and improved in blooming resistance by compounding a specific copolymer rubber with sulfur or a sulfur compd. and a vulcanization accelerator in a specified wt. ratio. CONSTITUTION: The compsn. contains 100 pts.wt. random copolymer rubber made from ethylene, a 3-20Cα-olefin, and at least one branched polyene compd. represented by the formula (wherein n is 1-5; R<1> is 1-5C alkyl; and R<2> and R<3> are each H or 1-5C alkyl), 0.5-10 pt.wt. vulcanizing agent comprising sulfur or a sulfur compd., and 1-20 pts.wt. vulcanization accelerator. The rubber has a molar ratio of ethylene units toα-olefin units of (40/60)-(95/5), an iodine value of 5-40, and an intrinsic viscosity [η] (at 135 deg.C in decalin) higher than 0.8dl/g and lower than 5.0dl/g. Examples of the sulfur compd. are sulfur chloride, sulfur dichloride, a high-molecular polysulfide, and a compd. liberating active sulfur at the vulcanization temp.
