PURPOSE: To obtain the subject new monoclonal antibody having a specific molecular weight, existing in the cell of human pulmonary adenocarcinoma, specifically reacting with a glycoprotein antigen secreted from human pulmonary adenocarcinoma and useful e.g. as a diagnostic agent and a treating agent for human pulmonary adenocarcinoma. CONSTITUTION: This new monoclonal antibody has a molecular weight of >=200Kd (SDS-PAGE), exists in the cell of human pulmonary adenocarcinoma and is secreted from human pulmonary adenocarcinoma, specifically reactive with glycoprotein antigen reactive with MAA lectin and PNA lectin and non-reactive with GNA lectin, SNN lectin and DAS lectin and useful e.g. as a diagnostic agent and a treating agent for human pulmonary adenocarcinoma. The monoclonal antibody can be produced by collecting a glycoprotein having a molecular weight of >=200Kd from established cell of human pulmonary adenocarcinoma, administering the glycoprotein to a mouse as an immunogen, collecting the spleen cell, fusing to a mouse myeloma cell, selectively culturing on a HAT medium, screening the obtained hybridoma, cloning the screened hybridoma and culturing the cloned product.
