PURPOSE: To obtain the subject compound by reacting allyl (meth)acrylate with a hydroxysilane compound by using a catalyst of a metal of the group VIII in the presence of a specific aluminum-based compound and oxygen, useful as a silane coupling agent, a reactive polymer raw material, etc. CONSTITUTION: Allyl (meth)acrylate is reacted with a hydroxysilane compound of formula I (R is an alkyl, a cycloalkyl or an aryl; X is an alkoxy or an aryloxy; (a) is 1 or 2; (b) is 0, 1, 2 or 3), etc.) (e.g. triethoxysilane, etc.) by using a catalyst of a metal of the group VIII (e.g. H2 PtCl6 .6H2 O) in the presence of an aluminum-based compound of formula II (X and Y are each H, an alkyl, an alkoxy, an aryl or a halogen) (e.g. N-nitrosophenylhydroxyamine aluminate, etc.) in an oxygen atmosphere under heating to give the objective γ-(meth) acryloxyropylsilane compound useful as a silane coupling agent, a reactive polymer raw material, etc. |
