PURPOSE: To provide a new oxide ion conductive solid electrolyte low in the temp. of order-disorder transition point of oxygen defect and improved in the ion conductivity in the region of low temp. which is extremely low heretofore, by using Ba2 In2 O5 as the source. CONSTITUTION: The browunmillerite type solid electrolyte is expressed by a general formula, Ba2 (In1-x Mx )O5 (where, M is a trivalent metal element 0.79-1.07Å in ionic radius in the case of assuming 6-coordination number and 0.2<x<0.7) and has a cubic single crystal phase. |
