PURPOSE: To obtain an ink for a recording without developing a deposit on a heating element and excellent in stability by reducing the content of strontium in the ink composition to a specific value or less to avoid the clogging of an ink jet printer during its use and in storage for a long period. CONSTITUTION: This ink for a recording is obtained by reducing the content of strontium contained in the ink composition to <0.01ppm with a treatment for passing the ink through a cation exchange resin in the process of producing the ink for recording. It is used for a thermal ink jet system capable of injecting the ink by utilizing a thermal energy from a heating element installed in its ink chamber. |
