PURPOSE: To detect a case where a last page is not discharged owing to a format of a printing data and automatically discharge the last page. CONSTITUTION: A printer comprises a receiving section 10 for receiving a printing data and total quantity information on the printing data, a control section 12 for expanding the printing data into an image data so as to accumulate in a plotting memory 14, a printing section 16 for printing the image data on a recording paper, and a paper conveying section 18 which sends out the recording paper to the printing section 16 based on a timing signal from the control section 12 and performs page ejection. Further, the control section 12 comprises a data quantity counter for counting a data quantity of the printing data received at the receiving section 10, a comparing function which compares data quantity information with the printing data total quantity information, and a page ejection controlling function which outputs a page ejection control signal to the paper conveying section when the data quantity information coincides with the printing data total quantity information and the expansion of the printing data in the receiving section is completed. |
