<p>PURPOSE: To prevent the lowering of nitrating capability of a device by sensing easily the inflow of hydrazine as a nitrating reaction inhibition substance. CONSTITUTION: A hydrazine sensing means for sensing the inflow of hydrazine into a nitrating tank 2 is provided. The hydrazine sensing means consists of an ORP meter 4 for sensing ORP in water in the nitrating tank 2, nitrating tank inflow water or nitrating tank outflow water and a control section 5 for issuing a signal when the sensed value of the ORP meter 4 is zero or under. The ORP of water not containing hydrazine shows a positive value, while the ORP of water containing hydrazine shows a negative value. Whether hydrazine flows into the nitrating tank or not is sensed securely by an extremely simple constitution of providing a control section issuing the signal based on the sensed value of ORP meter, and an appropriate step is taken to prevent the nitrating reaction inhibition generated by hydrazine.</p> |
