PURPOSE: To obtain a coating compsn. excellent in clarity, curability, and adhesion to an inorg. vapor-deposition film by compounding specific fine metal oxide particles, a specific organosilicon compd., and a specific cure catalyst. CONSTITUTION: This compsn. mainly comprises (A) fine particles of at least one kind of metal oxide selected from among oxides of Al, Sn, Sb, Fe, Zn, W, Ti, etc., and having particle sizes of 1-100μm and/or fine composite particles of at least two kinds of metal oxide selected from among oxides of Si, Al, Sn, Sb, Fe, Zn, W, Ti, etc., (B) an organosilicon compd. represented by the formula [wherein R<1> is a polymerizable reactive org. group; R<2> is a 1-6C hydrocarbon group; X<1> is a hydrolyzable group; and (n) is 0 or 1] and (C) an acetylacetonate having Fe (III) as the central metal atom. A coating compsn. excellent in clarity, curability, and adhesion to an inorg. vapor-deposition film and having an extended pot life is obtd. by using ingredient C as the cure catalyst for forming a coating film by thermally curing a compsn. mainly comprising ingredients A and B. |
