<p>PURPOSE: To provide a staple device for image forming device which can bind sheets at any position by a stapler. CONSTITUTION: Because a stapler 4 is installed movably on a movable rail 8 in the document delivery direction from an image forming device 5, the stapler 4 can be moved to any position where a transfer sheet delivered from the image forming device 5 onto a sorter bin 9 is desired to be bound by the stapler 4 in order to bind it in the desired position. Though the stapler 4 can be moved manually, it can also be moved automatically based on the instructions from a control panel located on the image forming device. To move the stapler automatically, the drive means of the stapler 4 arranged on the movable rail 8 is operated by the control of a control means using stapler position data specified by a stapler position specifying means.</p> |
