PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device free from a defect in a halftone image. CONSTITUTION: The timing of the turning on of each LED element of an LED erasure array 42 corresponding to the rear end of a reproduced image is set after the lapse of a delay time defined according to the image density of an original document detected via an image density sensor 28a. The rear end of a halftone image is thereby prevented from being erased unintentionally by light sneaking from the LED erasure array 42 on the photoreceptor drum 38. |
