PURPOSE: To improve compatibility of a plurality of remote controllers having different specifications based on amounts of control content and easily manufacture the remote controllers at low cost. CONSTITUTION: A transmission data array of a remote controller 20 having a less control content is made equal to that of a remote controller having a more control content, an optional value is set in a data setting column of that control content which the remote controller 20 having a less control content does not have, and all data having the optional value are transmitted to an air conditioner 200 in accordance with the transmission data array by operating keys 21-26 of the remote controller 20.
