PURPOSE: To facilitate the angular displacement and to realize the redundant structure by providing a movable unit provided at one end of each piezoelectric element and an operating unit disposed in contact with or near the movable unit. CONSTITUTION: The piezoelectric actuator comprises two piezoelectric element 11, 12 for generating displacement in response to the applied voltage. The elements 11, 12 are disposed with a predetermined gap, and its one ends are stuck to a support 15. A hinge 16 is disposed between the elements 11 and 12, and one end of the hinge 16 is fixed to the center of a movable unit 17. Operating units 18, 19 are stuck to the other ends (opposite side of the support 15) of the elements 11, 12, and have ends 18a, 19a approaching the unit 17. Thus, the forces generated from the elements 11, 12 are transmitted to the units 18, 19, which press the part of the unit 17. The unit 17 is displaced in the angular direction as shown by a chain line by the pressing forces of the units 18, 19. |
