PURPOSE: To reduce power consumption at the time of waiting and to improve the receiving performance of a paging signal by turning on a power supply for a 1st oscillation means based upon an output signal from a 1st waiting position counter. CONSTITUTION: A 1st waiting position counter 26e in a timing control part 26 counts up measuring clocks (b) outputted from a 2nd reference oscillator 9 from the time of completing the reception of a slot, and when its count value reaches a prescribed value, interrupts a system control part 6. The control part 6 receives the interruption and turns on a power supply for a 1st reference oscillator 8 again. When the count value of the 1st counter 26e reaches the prescribed value, a 2nd waiting position counter 26f starts the counting of clocks (b). When the count value of the 2nd counter 26f reaches a prescribed value, the counter 26f outputs a start instruction signal to a time base counter 26a to start the counting of bits in the slot. |
