摘要 PURPOSE: To prevent the breakage or reduction of service life of a fuel cell by performing differential pressure control to the highest value of gas pressure at a fuel electrode to which gas pressure at an oxidizer electrode faces among differential pressure at respective points in the whole plane of the fuel cell. CONSTITUTION: At a point 4, for example, in the whole plane of a fuel cell 11, differential pressure between both of a fuel electrode and an oxidizer electrode is detected by differential pressure detection parts 1-4, and each detected differential pressure is inputted to a minimum value selecting part 5. At the minimum value selecting part 5, the minimum value is selected among those by the differential pressure detection parts 1-4, and the selected minimum value is transmitted to a differential pressure control part 6 as the differential pressure between both electrodes. At the differential pressure control part 6, the differential pressure between both electrodes is controlled to make the transmitted minimum value equal to a set value. Under such control, the differential pressure becomes positive at all the differential pressure detection points by the differential pressure detection parts 1-4, while the minimum value is the set value. Gas pressure at the fuel electrode thus exceeds gas pressure at the oxidizer electrode facing it in the whole plane of the fuel cell 11, thereby differential pressure control with the smallest differential pressure can thus be provided.
