PURPOSE: To make a judgement on good or bad by obtaining an indicator indicating the selective orientation of crystal orientation of a rectangular cylindrical channel boxy and judging the average value of the indicator in various longitudinal directions and the difference between each maximum value and minimum value in the same plane in respective tolerance ranges. CONSTITUTION: Channel box surface is scanned with an ultrasonic probe 1 connected with an ultrasonic transmission part and reception part 2 and the signal received by the reception part 2 is input in a sound velocity measurement and operation part 3 to obtain sound velocity, which is input in an anisotropy judgment and operation part 4. The operation part 4 finds and indicator for the selective orientation of crystal orientation of the channel box, and judges whether or not the difference between the maximum and minimum of average values of the indicator in respective longitudinal directions is within a certain tolerance range. Based on these two judgement results, good or bad of the channel box is judged. |
