PURPOSE: To provide an office automation system capable of directly storing much image data in an external storage medium connected through a network in the case of using an OA equipment as a scanning device. CONSTITUTION: A user inquires a usable external storage medium through an operation panel 42 in an OA equipment 4a. An OA equipment service integrating control device 8 displays the result for the inquiring on a display part of an operation panel 42. While observing the displayed contents, the user specifies an image data storing medium. The OA equipment 4a transfers the image data to the specified external storage medium. When the capacity of the external storage medium is fully filled with data during the transfer of data, another external storage medium is searched and the data are transferred to the medium. In another external storage medium is not detected, the data are temporarily stored in a storage medium of the OA equipment 4a, and at the time of searching another external storage medium, the data are transferred to the medium. |
