PURPOSE: To improve the operability for the work of replacing fluorescent lamps for a straight bulb type fluorescent-lamp lighting fixture which constitutes a protective cover. CONSTITUTION: In a protective cover 1 in the form of a grid cage mounted in such a way as to cover a straight bulb type fluorescent-lamp lighting fixture main body 2, elongate openings 6 that continue to one another in their crosswise direction are formed in grid portions corresponding to both ends of straight bulb type fluorescent lamps 3 and are used as spaces for inserting the operator's hands, and spaces to insert and remove the fluorescent lamps are formed at both of the longitudinal ends of the cage. As a result, the fluorescent lamps can be mounted in and removed from the straight bulb type fluorescent lamp type lighting fixture main body with the protective cover mounted, thus operability is greatly enhanced and the time required for the replacement work of the fluorescent lamps can be reduced, resulting in reduced labor cost. The replacement work can be performed easily even for a fluorescent lamp lighting fixture installed at a high place. |
