PURPOSE: To obtain an electronic musical instrument, without requiring a special function controllable not to cause errors between loop readings, by presetting waveforms so that results are always made coincide at every time in the leading part of the repeated readings at the time of decoding. CONSTITUTION: The data stored in a delay register 22 are read, added with the data difference value, which are transmitted from a quantization control width block 21, by an adder 23 and decoded. The data values of the musical sound waveforms, to which difference values are added in the decoding process and generated, are stored in the register 22 and a preparation for a next data process is executed. The musical sound waveforms, which are processed and decoded, are set so that they always return to a certain delay register value when the waveform data generation returns to the loop top. Therefore, the device which resets a new value when the process returns to the loop top and the process for controlling waveforms by using a prediction filter coefficient that are designed so as to always obtain a constant value are unnecessitated. Thus, an electronic musical instrument simple in its construction and low in cost, is obtained. |
