<p>PURPOSE: To provide an igniter for internal combustion engines which prevents its insulation resin layer from the generation of breakdown, without any increase of its device size. CONSTITUTION: A first core portion 1b for winding a primary coil 2 of an ignition coil 100, a secondary coil 3 wound on the outside of the primary coil 2, a second core portion 1c forming a closed magnetic path together with the first core portion 1b which is positioned on the outside of the secondary coil 3, a storage case 4 for storing the primary and secondary coils 2, 3 and an insulation resin layer 7a disposed between the case 4 and the secondary coil 3 are provided respectively. Further, the wall thickness of a first resin portion 7a1 of the insulation resin layer 7a which is interposed between the second core portion 1c and the secondary coil 3 is made larger than the one of a second resin portion 7a2 other than the first resin portion 7a1 of the insulation resin layer 7a.</p> |
