PURPOSE: To facilitate arrival at a goal remote from a final guided point by indicating the direction and distance of goal when a vehicles enters a zone within a predetermined distance from the final guided point. CONSTITUTION: When a goal is not shown on the screen (Step 102), but a final guided point is shown on the screen (Step 108), direction and distance of the goal are found (Step 110, 112) and a mark M indicating the direction to the goal is displayed along with the distance to the goal (Step 114). Advancing direction can be judged easily based on the mark and distance thus displayed. |
