PURPOSE: To improve the conductivity of electrodes, keep high capacity even at a time of rapid charging and discharging, and provide excellent cycle properties by mixing low crystalline carbonaceous particles and nickel particles as an electrode material composition. CONSTITUTION: An electrode material composition contains a mixture of low crystalline carbonaceous particles and nickel particles. The carbonaceous particles are particles prepared by firing coal or petroleum pitch at low temperature and have at lowest 0.5Ω.cm resistance as an electrode and 1-80μm particle size. The nickel particles have 0.1-10μm particle size. The mixing ratio of the nickel particles to the carbonaceous particles is 0.1-10.0wt.% of nickel particles to the carbonaceous particles. Both a wet mixing method and a dry mixing method in electrode manufacturing process may be employed as the mixing method. Consequently, a non-aqueous solvent secondary battery which has high capacity even at the time of rapid charging and discharging and excellent charging-discharging cycle line and of which electrolytic liquid is scarcely decomposed can be obtained. |
