<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a method and a sensor for detecting interception of light in which presence of light from a preset light source can be detected using a member comprising a PLZT. CONSTITUTION: A member 1 comprising a PLZT is provided with a pair of electrodes 2a, 2b and an electric field is applied between the electrodes to polarize the member 1. The member 1 is then irradiated with a pumping light L from a pumping light source 3 and variation in the current or voltage between the electrodes 2a, 2b is measured by means of a measuring apparatus 4 thus detecting the intercepted state of the member 1 being irradiated with the pumping light.</p> |
