QUARTZ NOZZLE FOR FIXED HEAD BURNER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve strength and keep a flow rate of supply gas relatively unchanged by forming an outer diameter of a gas supply section to be smaller than an inner diameter of a nozzle hole, and constructing the nozzle such that hydrogen gas and oxygen gas pass through a gas outlet hole and go out from the nozzle hole. SOLUTION: An annular ring region 61 is formed around a front part of a quarts nozzle 10 by bringing an outer diameter of a front end (gas supply section) of a quartz nozzle 10 into a smaller inner diameter of a front end (nozzle hole) 64 of a hole for holding an end cap 24 provided on a rear surface of the quartz nozzle 10. Hydrogen gas fills the region 61, and passes through a gas outlet hole 66 formed in a front burner head 12 of the quartz nozzle 10 and goes out from the burner. In the gas outlet hole 66 the hydrogen gas is mixed with oxygen gas emanating from a gas supply hole 75 formed in the quartz nozzle 10. The quartz nozzle 10 is flame polished and annealed to moderate stress.
