PURPOSE: To protect a lead frame against damage at the time of wire bonding by eliminating the need of adjusting a retainer to be in parallel with the lead frame when the lead frame is pressed against a heater block by means of the retainer fixed to an elevating head body. CONSTITUTION: A retainer 6 is made of a ceramic and an electromagnet 15 for magnetizing the retainer 6 upon conduction, is disposed on the lower surface side of a heater block 2. The retainer 6 is set to float, at the opposite ends on an elevating head body 5 during the descending operation. |
