摘要 PURPOSE: To save the consumption of buffer solution required for the cleaning of the flow cell of a polarographic analyzing device. CONSTITUTION: An analyzing device 10 has a polarographic flow cell 94, and an immobilizing membrane 128 of glucose oxidaze is provided on the working electrode 106 of the flow cell 94. At analysis, a subject and the buffer solution in a buffer solution tank 88 are sent to the flow cell 94 by a cylinder pump 36. After use, the glucose residual concentration in the flow cell 94 is detected, and the buffer solution of an absolute minimum quantity for making the glucose residual concentration less than 10mg/dl is sent to the flow cell 94. When the glucose concentration of the subject is low, a small quantity of the buffer solution is sufficient, and the consumption of the buffer solution can be saved. When the glucose concentration of the subject is high, the flow cell is washed with a sufficient quantity of the buffer solution. Since the glucose oxidaze 128 is dipped in the buffer solution having a glucose residual concentration less than 10mg/dl at no-use, the activity of the enzyme can be kept over a required life period.
