<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method by which a delay in a communication system caused by a queue delay which occurs in connection with a packet collision can be monitored and limited. SOLUTION: Line cards 22 translate information received from synchronous communication channels into synthesized packets for transferring the information to an asynchronous network 20. Each line card 22 generate and stores packets corresponding to the time frame of the asynchronous communication channels, and selects the sequential transferring order of the packet. During a prescribed time frame, the number of storing times of occurring collisions is decided to each output line card. When the number of storing times exceeds a delay threshold, a skew is maintained by subtracting the number of actually transferred packets from a calculated value by not making any new call originating service.</p> |
