DEVELOPING DEVICE AND PROCESS CARTRIDGE

PURPOSE: To prevent toner from being dammed at the toner recovery part of a developing device in a cartridge and to prevent it from being leaked when the cartridge is loaded and unloaded even when one kind of process cartridge is used for plural image forming device main bodies whose process speed is different. CONSTITUTION: A guide groove 120 whose cross section is almost T-shaped is provided at the lower part of the aperture part of the developing container frame body 100 of the developing device and a lower seal abutting pressure switching mechanism is attached. The mechanism is provided with a slider 101 whose cross section is almost T-shaped and constituted of a longitudinal member 101b pressed by the engagement member of the image forming device main body and made to project from the groove 120 and a lateral member 101a which is freely movably carried in the groove in a lateral direction right angle with the direction of a developing sleeve 9 and whose upper surface is inclined. Besides, a spring 103 is fitted to one end of the lateral member 101. Then, a holding member 102 constituted so that a lower seal 106 supporting a lower sheet 107 is fixed to the upper surface thereof and the lower surface thereof is provided with the same inclination as that of the upper surface of the slider 101 is engaged in the groove so that it is freely moved in the direction of the sleeve 9 and placed on the upper surface of the slider 101.
