PURPOSE: To provide a motor control circuit in which hunting at the time of switching a speed is suppressed and the speed can be early converged to a desired speed. CONSTITUTION: A switch 8 is turned off during the transition of the speed for altering the speed of a capstan driving motor 1 in the search mode of a VTR to inactivate a phase servo system, a switch 12 is shifted to a contact side, the filter 11 of a speed servo system is removed from a servo loop, a switch 6 is shifted to a contact side, and the gain of a speed servo system is lowered to 1/N. Thus, the speed is rapidly switched to a desired speed while preventing a hunting without oscillating the servo loop. |
