PURPOSE: To rotate an image and to record the result by using a memory with a smaller capacity than a capacity required for processing the image even when the image area to be rotated requires one page capacity. CONSTITUTION: A rotation processing section 28 rotating image data by 90 degrees, a page memory 32 storing image data printed out by a laser printer 31, and an image input section 29 reading the image are connected to an image bus 23. The image input section 29 reads only a first half of the image in the main scanning direction and stores the read image to an image memory 33 with a capacity of a half page, the rotation processing section 28 rotates the image and stores the rotated image to the page memory 32. Then the image input section 29 reads the remaining part and stores the read image to the image memory 33, the rotation processing is conducted similarly and the processed data are stored in remaining areas of the page memory 32. The image data whose rotation processing is finished are printed out by the laser printer 31. |
