PURPOSE: To provide a novel optical recording medium capable of effectively reducing the jitter of a recording pattern. CONSTITUTION: This optical recording medium has a recording layer on which guide grooves are formed on the substrate. The width of a land part defined by the guide groove varies in the track direction in the cycle of 1/(an integer of a standard clock) and the growth of a recording pattern can be suppressed at the time of recording a signal in a magneto-optical disk or a phase change type optical disk. |
