In a lubrication system for a vehicle having relatively movable frame and suspension elements, a lubricant pump 1 on one element has a piston movable against a biasing force by means connected to the other element. In Fig. 1, pump 1 is secured to the vehicle chassis. Axle 7 is carried by leaf spring 8 and vertical movement of the axle causes link 11 to oscillate arm 12 and a shaft 28 (Fig. 3) carrying a rocker arm 27. Piston 24 is thus alternately retracted by arm 27 and extended by spring 25, and lubricant is passed through valves 29, 30. The pump is connected to a reservoir by pipes 3, 4 and supplies a ring circuit 5. Cams in Figs. 4, 5 (not shown), and links in Figs. 6, 7 (not shown), prevent excess movement of the axle producing excess lubricant. |
