The rubber curing bag for vulcanising tyres or air springs is made from at least two separate rubber layers(A',B'). In the mfr. of. the curing bag, a preform(5) is constructed of two or more layers of different rubber cpds., placed as a ring in a vulcanising mould(1) and on closure of the mould halves(2,3) is pressed against a metal core(4) and/or the tool halves before vulcanisation. During moulding of a curing bag with a radial layer construction, 0.05 mm of rubber forming the inner and/or outer layers(B') is pressed onto the walls of the metal core(4)and tool halves(2,3) prior to moulding the central layer (A') between them.
