The operating centre has a spindle device with a spindle housing (1) displaced in 3 coordinate directions, containing a rotary operating spindle (2). The spindle housing has a rotation device (3) for positioning the machining device (6), with the latter and the machining tools supplied with compressed air and/or a hydraulic fluid and with electrical drive and/or control signals. Pref. the rotation device and the supply devices (4,5) for the compressed air and/or hydraulic fluid and electrical signals are provided as separate modules fitted concentric to the operating spindle.
