An edge gluing and cutting open machine has an integrated cooling zone (38) and an undoubling triangle (10). The machine features a material inlet consisting of an easily accessible roll trough (20) with support rolls (21) mounted with roller bearings and a similarly mounted unrolling rod (37) with smoothed or polished outer surfaces. The invention uses the hot melt application technology to process the material edges.
