A plastic with reduced sulphur uptake comprises a high mol.wt., sterically hindered amine or a mixt. selected from: (a) oligomerised 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-20-(oxiranylmethyl)-7-oxa-3,20-diazadispiro- Ä5.1.11.2Üheneicosan-21-one; (b) a condensation prod. of 2-chloro-4,6-di(4-n-butylamino-1,2,2,6,6-pentamethyl- piperidinyl)-1,3,5-triazine and 1,2-bis(3-aminopropylamino)ethane; and (c) a condensation prod. of 1-hydroxyethyl-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-hydroxypiperidine and succinic acid. Also claimed are: (1) a shaped article in the form of a film, plate, extruded article, fibre, nonwoven, tape or woven fabric produced from the above plastic; and (2) the above plastic as described in the Examples. |
