The horizontal rotary compressor comprises a frame(1), a motor part in a high pressure chamber, a compression part in a low pressure chamber, and a partition means dividing the frame into the high pressure chamber and the low pressure one. The compression part includes a lubrication system comprising a lubricant oil pumping chamber(11), fluid diodes(12, 13) each formed at the lower portion of a main bearing(6) and a sub-bearing(7), a vane(14) for pumping the lubricant oil contained in the lower portion of the frame, and an oil feeding pipe(17) connecting an oil passageway(16) of a rotatable shaft(4) with the fluid diode(13) formed at the outlet of the pumping chamber. The vane sustained by a coil spring(15) is vertically reciprocated in cooperation with the rotation of the rotatable shaft with an eccentric cam part so as to pump lubricant oil out to the oil passageway(16). The lubricant oil feeding accelerates by the pressure difference between the high pressure chamber and the low pressure one.
