Sensor system to measure concentrations of gases and liquids

The sensor system for gases/liquids, for quantitative concentration measurements, has a shaft surface structure (1) with reception and output converters (2,3) and an adsorption layer (6) with a specific action sensitive to the gas/fluid medium applied to an additional strip system (4,5), together with an energising/evaluation electronic unit (20). The strip structure for the shaft surfaces (11-13) is a reflector array (4,5) on all the shaft features. The reflector strips in the reflector structure (4,5) give a reflection on the same path length between the reception converter (2) and output converter (3). The electronic evaluation unit (20) calculates the charging of the adsorption layer (6) through the amplitude of the signal at the output converter (3).
