<p>A rotor core (12) of a cage rotor of an induction motor is accommodated in a recess (14) of a casting mold (18) of a casting apparatus (10). A composite cylinder apparatus (68) is fixedly disposed above the casting mold (18), that is, on the side opposite to the sprue, and the rotor core (12) is held at a predetermined position by one of the pistons (70) inside the recess (14). The other piston (72) locally pressurizes the molten metal packed into an end-ring cavity (66) defined between the rotor core (12) and the recess (14) on the side opposite to the sprue.</p> |
