The cover (8) comprises several separate light side parts, which can be walked on, extending from one side wall (3) to the other (4). The side parts have end wall profiles on their endfaces which can fit into each other forming a positive lock (11). The side parts have insertion connections fitting into the edge strips (25) of the side walls of the float. The end wall profile of one side part (6) has a rounded front edge to its upper flange. The lower flange has a front edge with recessed front edge. The flanges are connected by a web.
