Heated floor for sports arena

The floor, eg. for a sports arena, may be heated. The floor structure rests on a subsoil or foundation layer (u). A thick intermediate layer (3) rests on the foundation. This layer is 10 mm thick and may be glued to the foundation. It may be made of closed cell polyethylene foam with a density of 50 kg/m<3> and a thermal conductivity of 0.035 W/mK. There are cutouts (3') in the top of the intermediate layer, which accommodate parallel heating tubes (5). The top of the intermediate layer is covered over with a thin smoothing layer (13) covered in turn by a cloth (15) impregnated with a two-component polyurethane mixture. The cloth is covered with a hard matrix layer (17). This is covered with a smoothing layer (19) and a surface facing layer (21).
