<p>An apparatus for breaking glass (bottles and the like) and compacting the fragments. It consists of a cylinder closed at one end and with a perforated cover at the other end, in which there travels a weight operated by a manually controlled rod. The main feature is that it is able to contain the compacted fragments of several glass containers before it has to be emptied. It also provides better hygiene and safety, as well as substantially reducing the space necessary for collection. It is intended for household, municipal and industrial use. <IMAGE></p> |
