Magnetic tape device

The magnetic tape device comprises a magnetic tape, having a lacing position, and an arrangement for recognising the lacing position. Such magnetic tape can be laced only over this lacing position. As soon as such tape is inserted into a tape device, a backwards or forwards winding is performed, up to a marked and determined lacing position. Two guide pins grasp behind the magnet tape and pull it out against a scanning arrangement. The magnetic tape is retained in this position by the mechanical influence of the pins.
