Window frame producing plant

The window producing plant has an input section including a planing machine (3,5) and a shaping unit (8). There is a turning device between them to turn workpieces (19) through 180 deg. about a vertical axis perpendicular to their longitudinal axis. It passes the turned workpieces to a conveyor (7) which takes them to the shaping unit. The turning device can be turned from a rest position outside the workpiece transporting plane to a turning position above this plane. The turning device may have spaced-out rests for the workpieces. These are in the form of battens extending in a perpendicular direction to the input direction of the workpieces from the planing machine.
