The imaging system scans a moving component of an object with an ultra-sound signal using a contrast echo method based Doppler techniques with a contrast medium injected into the moving component. A probe (10) beams an ultra-sound signal to the object which reflects back an echo signal which is converted to a beam type echo signal. The doppler shift frequency (fd) of a non-linear echo component, based on the beam type echo, is extracted from the echo signal and converted into speed component (v) according to the conversion equation v = V.cos.theta = Cfd/2f(set) + fd) where C is the speed of a sound, V represents speed of movement of the moving component, v is a component of V in the direction of the ultrasound signal, theta an angle of the ultrasound signal relative to a direction of movement of the component, f(set) a set frequency on which the speed conversion is based and fd represents the doppler shift frequency.
