Hospital gas supply system using bottles or cylinders

A shut-off is provided between compact block and gas mains. It consists of a pressure reducer which can supply gas above the switch to the consumer at safety pressure. This pressure may be lower than mains but fully sufficient for the customer. The pressure reducer only supplies gas in a case where the pressure at the switch output falls to or beyond the safety pressure. The compact block includes a coupling (73) and non-return valve (74) so that coupling devices (101-104) can fill as adapted to the coupling. The block passes signals relating to the gas in-bottle pressure to a control or alarm point.
