Method of reducing heating oil consumption in oil heating plants

The method involves atomising the heating oil in a boiler unit (1) consisting of an oil burner (2) with a combustion chamber (3) after it, then mixing it with combustion air and burning it. The heating oil is warmed before it is atomised. The oil is passed through an exhaust gas heat exchanger (12) before it goes to the burner. Heat is sucked from a tank at temp. e.g. 10-12 deg C, and oil is warmed in the exhaust gas heat exchanger to 40 deg C. The exhaust heat exchanger has a smoke tube (4) coming out into the exhaust gas chamber (5), and outward and feed lines (14,15) on the input side.
