FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: engine comprises stator 1 and at least one casing of cylinder 4 mounted inside the stator in bearings and provided with two opposite pistons 5 and 6 secured to common rod 7 mounted on crank shaft 9 set in bearings 10 and 11 of stator 1 and kinematically coupled with the casing of cylinder 4 through transmitting mechanism 12. The axis of rotation of the mechanism is shifted from the axis of rotation of the crank shaft by the radius of the crank. End inner spaces 14 and 15 of the cylinder have above-piston chambers 17 and under- piston chambers 18. The under-piston spaces are in communication with inlet passageway 20 through inlet ports 19. The above-piston spaces are in communication with outlet passageway 22 through respective ports. Each end space of the cylinder has by-passing ports 23 and 24 arranged over its generatrices with respect to the axis of rotation and connecting the under-piston chambers with the above-piston spaces.
