FIELD: cosmetic medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves partial resection of the nasal septum and osteotomy followed by pressing down the nose back: using fingers to squeeze together the mobilized bone slopes and forcing the osteochondral part of the nose pyramid back under the base of the upper jaw frontal processes to prevent lateral displacement of the nose back. The nose back is displaced backward till the front and back edges of the septum are in contact, and the lower front part of the septum is catgut loop sutured to the tissues. EFFECT: more reliable cosmetic correction. |
