A connector 27 is inserted into the device, and teminals 26 with attached conductors or cables 25 are inserted into the connector. If the terminals are not correctly inserted, the connector cannot be removed from the device. The device has a central frame member, an upper cover 11 and a lower cover 18. A window 21 in the central frame holds an upwardly biassed immobilising means, and a sliding member 23, located between the central frame member and the lower cover has a groove which can interact with the immobilising means. When terminals are incorectly mounted in a connector, the immobilising means is moved downwards into the groove, and sliding member 23 cannot be moved to the left to allow the aligning member at the right hand side of the device to move and permit the connector to be removed. |
